GENERAL DATAThe project is designed in a minimalist style with ethnic motifs. The key concept was the desire of the customer to get an apartment without the feeling of recent renovation and artificially designed interior. It was decided to use the highest quality and environmentally friendly materials such as oak, teak, white travertine, black African granite. Texture of natural materials looks so rich that the interior does not need any additional decoration. As a result, the final interior is characterized by nobility and sustainability. Soft pastel colors dominate the apartment. The pictures of Armenian artists from the collection of the owners, as well as the carpet and accessories in ethnic style give additional warmth and comfort to the interior.

The total area is quite large. The apartment has a spacious entrance hall, lounge, kitchen combined with the dining room, three bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and a winter garden.

Entrance hall meets the hosts and the guests with spacious, festive lighting and painting exhibition of Anatoly Papanyan. Floors of the room are made of oak board. The interior of the living room is clear and thought-out to the details. Flooring of oak from the mountainous regions of Russia was chosen for the living room. In contrast to the other types, alpine oak wood has a higher density, hardness and wear resistance and has a better pattern.

In the process of creation of the interior architecture, special attention was paid to the details. The compositional center of the living room is the “Nimba” suspension lamp by the well-known Spanish factory “Santa & Cole”, equipped with hundreds of xenon bulbs. The undeniable advantage of these lamps compared to the halogen lamps is the lower power consumption and better light output. As a result, the light becomes brighter and the owners use less energy. An Armenian handmade woolen carpet is laid on the floor. Around it there is a recreation area with the upholstered furniture of the Italian factory “Poliform”. It is important to mention the commitment of the customer to the brands with their own philosophy. So, all TV sets in the apartment are produced by “Loewe” – a manufacturer and a pioneer in the field of premium class multimedia equipment.

The color scheme of the kitchen is not much different from the general style. Furniture of German factory “Almilmö” with white gloss finish facades and frames of African wood Macassar of mocha color. The appliances in the kitchen are manufactured by “Miele”, the refrigerator is by German company “Gaggenau”, which has been the pioneering brand for home appliances for more than 300 years and the leading innovator in technology and design “Made in Germany.” In the middle of the kitchen there is an island that serves both as a table for a quick snack and a working surface with a storage system with a refrigerator for vegetables and fruits. The table top is made of black African granite. Floors in the kitchen area are covered with slabs of Portuguese porcelain tiles.

The dining room is made in bright colors. A brick wall in the dining room gives warmth to the interior. Roman shades, white pendants in the shape of a cube and white chairs by “Poliform” create a bright and fresh atmosphere in the dining room. The bathroom is designed in warm earth colors with natural Italian travertine by “Cottoveneto”, marble and Burma teak wood. Simple geometric shapes are used for the shelves, plumbing and accessories to emphasize the rich texture of wood. Some marble slabs create accents and give the interior personality. All storage systems and communications are hidden behind the walls. Accessories and faucets in the bathrooms are handmade and produced by the leading manufacturer in its field “Dornbracht”.

In October 2011 in Moscow at the II International Architecture&Construction Exhibition “Beautiful Houses” the project received an award from the publishing house “Beautiful Houses” together with “Hansa” company Diploma for I prize in the nomination “Interior – ArchObject”.
